Microsoft Azure Cloud PaaS model application - success by design
Business Problem
Started new development effort with Ohio Department of Education to build a public portal for Standards by Design. The project is executed into two phases and the Phase 1 will be completed March 2020.
This portal allows any teacher to quickly find standards that align to meet their purposes and a user can filter by Career-Technical Career Field, Strand, Outcome, and Competency, and an ELA or Math teacher can filter by Grade/Subject, Domain, and specific standards.
Solution
The objective of this project is to build a Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) model application that meets the following criteria:
House all ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and CTE content standards in application. Application will also include all areas of alignment between standards. User interface will allow users to search the application in multiple ways
User have the option to save output behind SAFE, but do not have to have a SAFE account to use the public facing system. Completely built based on the Azure recommended cloud architectural requirements and constraints of Department of education.
Outcome
Build the system in a way that functionality to allow educators to access additional resources regarding the to the system in a later phase of the project
A complete web and Cloud driven solution
Better UI experience for users.
